CORRECTIVE EXERCISE IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR FEET

Our feet carry all our weight day after day, year after year.  It's the first part of our body to take the load of impact.  It's no surprise foot pain is the cause of one million doctor visits each year!
Poor functional movement patterns at the feet can translate to problems all the way up the kinetic chain. Limiting joint stability and increasing the risk of injury.  There  are several conditions that are related to foot and ankle dysfunction, including plantar fasciitis, shin splints, knee pain, IT-band inflammation, ACL tears, and hip malalignments. The foot and ankle work together with the multiplanar biomechanics of the ankle joint.  Poor control at the ankle joint decreases functional ability, specifically deceleration. This leads to muscles imbalances, joint dysfunction, and injury.  Corrective exercise programming redresses muscle imbalances by releasing over active muscles and strengthening weak muscles. This results in improved joint function and less risk of injury.
